Mr. Christopher Smith is a St. Louis native. His original degree was from University of Missouri, Columbia, in Hotel Restaurant Management. After working several years in this profession, he returned to school to obtain a law degree He was awarded a scholarship to University of Minnesota Law School where he interned as a public defender and was the student coordinator for the Criminal Defense Clinic. He moved to Cape Girardeau to be close to his and his wife’s families.


Experience shapes the man and Mr. Smith’s experience as a restaurant manager gave him a unique understanding of lower income individuals. This has developed in him a passion for social justice, helping individuals that normally could not afford a lawyer by offering these individuals payment plans.


Coming from a long line of small business owners has given Mr. Smith a deep appreciation of the hardships involved in such a venture. With this in mind combined with Mr. Smith’s experiences in establishing corporations as well as small businesses has caused him to offer counseling on simple business practices that prevents hardships down the road with litigation against you, IRS, or your bank.
